The California Department of Education (CDE) recently issued CALPADS Update Flash #309 announcing major improvements in how Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) register for training. Effective August 5, 2025, California School Information Services (CSIS) has launched a new, simplified CSIS Training Registration website that replaces the older Bridge Learning Management System (LMS).
This transition marks a significant shift towards broader accessibility, smoother registration, and better scheduling for training sessions. Below is a summary of the key updates and how they benefit LEAs across California.
The new training site is live at: https://csis.fcmat.org/csis-training. This platform allows LEAs to register directly for live training without needing an account or login credentials.
Feature | Old Bridge LMS | New CSIS Training Site |
---|---|---|
User Limit | Max 2 users per LEA | Unlimited users (Zoom capacity applies) |
Login Required | Yes | No |
Scheduling View | Limited or separate listings | All sessions viewable in one place |
Access Cut-Off | Active until August 31, 2025 | Live from August 5, 2025 onward |
No More User Limits:
Any number of staff members from an LEA can now sign up for live trainings—expanding participation and flexibility. Previously, only two users per agency could access Bridge LMS.
Simplified Registration:
No account creation or password needed. Just fill out a short form on the new website to register.
Centralized Scheduling:
The new site displays all upcoming CSIS and CALPADS trainings in one convenient location, allowing for better planning.
To help users navigate the new system, a 3-minute tutorial video is available on the CSIS YouTube Training Channel:

This upgrade reflects the state's effort to respond to user feedback and increase equitable access to essential training resources for educators and administrators. By removing barriers and improving usability, CSIS is making it easier for LEAs to stay current and compliant with CALPADS requirements.
